Selon un communiqué de presse , l’Observatoire de la culture et des communications du Québec annonce la publication du
bulletin no 30 de Statistiques en bref. Ce numéro présente une analyse des ventes de livres intitulée Ventes de livres en 2006 : retour à la normale. On y constate un net ralentissement des ventes de livres neufs par rapport à 2005, année où, rappelons-le, la croissance avait atteint un niveau record. Ce ralentissement est surtout attribuable à la stabilité des ventes directes des éditeurs de manuels scolaires. Par ailleurs, on constate que les librairies indépendantes ont vu leur part de marché perdre 3 points de pourcentage.

FOB is a companion project to the Writers, Artists and Their Copyright Holders (WATCH), an online database containing the names and addresses of copyright holders or contact persons for authors and artists. The WATCH file is accessible at http://www.watch-file.com.
The objective of both projects is to provide information to scholars and researchers about whom to contact for permission to publish text and images that have copyright protection.
